Well, it’s finally happened. I’ve reached the point where I’m forced to admit that I can no longer maintain this site on a regular basis. I will still be posting here from time to time, but only when I have something very pressing to say. Even I don’t know how often that will be. Predictions Update

Nintendo Predictions are up next, but I haven’t had a chance to finish them up yet. In the meantime, it looks like two predictions from my Microsoft column have already been confirmed: You can check out a little bit about the Karaoke game Lips here, and the Xbox 360 price drop may already be in effect.

I Can’t Hear You, Snake.

A few readers have expressed interest in hearing my final thoughts on Metal Gear Solid 4 after I posted about my initial disappointment. Unfortunately, that might be a while. My PlayStation 3 isn’t outputting sound right now, although it’s more likely a problem with my reciever or audio cables. But until I get it figured out, MGS4 is going to have to wait.

The Great Rock Feud

By now, everyone in the gaming community knows all about Guitar Hero IV, thanks to the Game Informer cover story that unveiled its added instruments, character creation, and song-crafting features. Yes, Guitar Hero IV sounds a lot like Rock Band. Despite all boasts by Neversoft employees in the GI article, I can’t really see any major difference between the two games now, but I do have some big questions – namely, why? What’s the motivation to make the Guitar Hero franchise more like Rock Band?
